PC-Fireshield® TS 440

Pre-assembled Transit for Data and Electrical Cables

PC-Fire shield® TS 440 are 300 mm-long plastic sleeves containing a heat-reactive graphite-based intumescent insert. These sleeves are designed to enhance fire resistance in compartment walls, particularly gypsum drywalls, facilitating the safe passage of network, data, and electrical cables between compartments. In the event of a fire, the intumescent liner reacts to high temperatures by expanding and completely sealing off the transit, preventing the spread of hot gases and flames to the non-fire exposed side of the wall or floor. These transit sleeves undergo fire testing with fill levels ranging from 0% to 90%, allowing for easy cable replacement, removal, and reinstallation without compromising the seal’s efficacy. Moreover, each PC-Fire shield® TS 440 includes a 50mm deep flame-retardant foam strip that envelops cables, acting as a removable and reusable end plug.

APPLICATION AREA

PC-Fire Shield® TS 440 undergo independent testing and certification to ensure compliance with a variety of cables and configurations as they pass through concrete walls, floors, and Gypsum Drywalls.

A. CONCRETE FLOORS
120 / 120 Mins fire resistance (Integrity & Insulation) when used to seal Cat5e network data cable bundles up to 90-mm diameter. 120 / 120 Mins fire resistance (Integrity & Insulation) when PC-Fire shield® TS 440 is empty.

B. CONCRETE WALLS
120 / 120 Mins fire resistance (Integrity & Insulation) when used to seal Electrical Cable bundle (10 x A3 type Cables). FIRE PERFORMANCE

C. GYPSUM DRYWALL
The fire-resistant sealant offers 120 minutes of integrity and insulation for Cat 5e network data cable bundles with a diameter of up to 60mm. For larger bundles, up to 90mm in diameter, the fire resistance provided is for 90 minutes with both integrity and insulation maintained.
