USES

PC-Decco® Skim is engineered for application on a variety of interior substrates, including concrete, cement rendering, lightweight concrete, and fair-faced brickwork. It also performs effectively on gypsum drywall; however, it is essential that the joints of the gypsum board are properly treated. This involves taping with glass fiber scrim and filling or skimming with PCDecco® Skim prior to its application. This versatile product is commonly used to enhance the aesthetics of hotels and resorts, private residences, villas, foyers and lobbies of banks and commercial buildings, royal residences and palaces, as well as retail stores, restaurants, and beauty salons.

APPLICATION

• The surface must be thoroughly cleaned and free of stains or grease. The primer coat typically requires 30 to 60 minutes to dry, depending on the temperature; it is essential to allow the primer to dry completely before proceeding to the next step.
• Apply the first coat of texture skim coat and wait until it is approximately 70% dry before applying a second coat. At the 70% dry stage, lightly spray water to enhance the texture. Allow the skim coat to dry fully before applying the clear varnish topcoat.
